I want to teach you the skills so you may express the best of yourself, then make you absolutely confident and comfortable with your performance. I want to work with your potential, your fears and your strength to help you give the best audition you can.
I am an experienced acting teacher and director - I teach regularly with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Young Actors Studio as well as sitting on Royal Central School of Speech and Dramas MA audition panel. I am most experienced in working on audition and drama school audition prep with students aged 16 and up.
I coach audition technique, acting and introduction to the actors voice. I work with students at all levels interested in applying for drama school as well as professionals. I can prepare students thoroughly for anything that requires them to deliver an effective performance. I use the approaches of Stanislavsky and am influenced by Michael Chekhov, Declan Donnellan and Lecoq.
I trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the Acting MA. I gained my BA in Performing Arts from Salford University. I have worked as an actor and director for ten years with companies and theatres across the UK including The BBC and The Lowry.
Working with professional actors in rehearsal and those applying for drama school have been the core of my work. I have directed contemporary and physical productions. I have taught Shakespeare and contemporary text, audition preparation technique and Stanislavsky. I also teach the basic approaches and skills for opening the actors voice.
I continue to work as a professional actress, voice over artist and in collaboration with several companies across the UK. My most recent work with Created A Monster Theatre Company. My prices begin at £25 per hour. I am happy to travel in my local area as well as further afield though in these instances there must be a minimum 2 hour booking plus a negotiable travel surcharge. Get in touch with what you require and I would hope we can come to an arrangement.
I have a quiet, safe and comfortable space in my home in Stretford to deliver tutorials. Stretford tram station is walking distance to my house alongside several bus routes. I am happy to travel in the local area or further afield by negotiation.
I have have an up-to-date DBS Certificate and belong to both Spotlight and Equity.
